Floris: “I’ve always been fascinated by birdhouses from a young age. I have owned and tinkered with quite a few, but never has a bird actually sat in one. Not once.

From my office, I can see our front yard, which we completely redid ten years ago. There is now a long driveway with cobblestones and lots of greenery. And that’s where I finally got it right. Along the driveway, I placed four beautiful, nostalgic garden benches. Sometimes, in summer, I see people cycling through the Brabant countryside taking a break on one of those benches to nibble on a sandwich. When they are done, they take off again. I hope you’ll have as much success with your birdhouse as I have with my benches. If not, just let me know and I’ll organise a garden bench for next year.””

Floris: "Every so often we have new coffee mugs made that we use in the office. I always try my best to come up with a fun new design so that it feels brand-new.

After a mug with a pooping deer by the logo (don't ask me why) and a mug with aliens in the logo (don't ask me why), we now have this one. It was extra expensive to produce because the print is in an odd place, but the Dutch pun had to be made."

Floris: "This can be very cosy, or... complete chaos. It depends a bit on how skilful you are. In any case, it’s a great way to make beautiful memories with the whole family.

A Christmas movie is on, candles are burning, all the children put on aprons, holding hot chocolates in their hands and start crafting. Building the walls and roof is a bit tricky. If you go too fast, everything may collapse, and if that happens, not only the chocolate roof tiles fly up in the air, but perhaps the real ones too!”

Floris: “Surely one of the best things about travelling are the supermarkets abroad.

In Georgia, I saw one-and-a-half litre bottles of Amstel beer, in Alaska crisp bags the size of small rubbish bags and in China everything tasted as chemical as it looked. The snack country par excellence is, of course, the US. I travel there every summer and eat things that I immediately regret. To share that experience, we’ve put together this bundle. Floris: "I have a slight obsession with keeping things in order. I love it when everything in the house has a designated place. On the kitchen counter, for example, there is always a folded tea towel, with the scissors on top. Always.

Recently, I bought a small square tray for the bathroom sink, which now holds my contact lenses and toothpicks. Order at last! It’s really wonderful: peace, cleanliness and neatness.
