The sneaker’s block-shaped profile is nice and robust. Combining that with the sporty upper adds a contemporary and fashionable look. The tongue of the shoe sports a fabric label that has a FvB logo in a retro font. On the inside of the label, Floris has used the metaphor of a hotdog, trying to make a connection between these shoes and 'savoir vivre', the pleasures of life. This light brown suede version has full leather lining and a comfortable removable footbed that is lined in leather as well. The suede received an additional treatment with oils in the tanning drum, adding a touch of oiliness to the haptic. The oils give the suede a rich appeal and deep colour.

"We’ve named this sneaker the Blocker, because the outsole has a block-shaped profile. Sometimes it’s that easy. In the photo, those blocks might seem a bit massive, but when you wear the shoe on your foot, they are just right. Sporty, powerful and something different from all the other sneakers around. I used the inside of the tongue label to get to the core of existence using an image of a hot dog. In fact, I believe you can pretty much explain every problem in the world with a hot dog. Heartbreak? You are the sausage, your friends and family the bun. They offer you unconditional love and support! Hang in there! At some point, as a sausage, you get eaten and excreted anyway. But that's life, right? This theory is foolproof."
