"This was a really fun sneaker to work on. As in everything you do: the more variables you apply, the more complicated the process gets. Five different types of leather, two types of textiles and greased suede. That is quite a puzzle, if you want to make it look cool. In combinations like this, parts that seem to matter least sometimes turn out to be the most important of all. Until the black crocodile print was put on the heel I thought these shoes were boring. With that black material we just gave that shoe a kick in the ass, and it was suddenly cool. Absolutely perfect!"
