"Discreet beauty - that was the focus while I was designing this model. A quiet shoe, made from a nice piece of calf skin, no bells & whistles. Using a few small modifications we did give this shoe a very individual identity. On the forefoot, we used laser technology to apply lines in the shape of a classic winged tip, as you would normally see in a brogue shoe. The thread of the sole is grey rubber with a marble effect. Another nice detail of the shoe is the narrow leather piping on top of the tongue and at the back of the heel. This leather was made by an Italian top tanner we have been working with for decades. The people working there date back to prehistoric times. They are very good in producing top quality super classic material. However, they are not very good at innovation. If they do try to develop something new they often end up with very special results, because they can never truly let go of their classic views. This piece of leather is a nice update of the classic reptile print materials from the 70's and 80's."
