Floris about this item:

The crocodile print that is applied on the leather of this shoe is irregular. This means that both the back scales and the ventral scales of the crocodile can be seen. Normally only the ventral scales are used for a crocodile print, together they form a nice uniform pattern. But by adding the back scales you suddenly get strips in the leather that make it more difficult to produce an identical left and right shoe. What is difficult with this print is that there is a lot of ‘cutting waste’ when processing. In other words, there is more leather waste on the floor of the cutting plant. ‘An expensive hobby’ is what they say at home. But also a beautiful hobby!
