"This shoe is made from clean, classical suede with a nice, luxurious nap without too much of a brushing effect. Oh.. how wonderful, that last sentence was so "cobblery". If suede has a lot of brushing effect, it means that the hairs (fibres) of the suede are relatively long, and usually also treated with a bit of grease. As a result, when you pass your hand over it, those hairs are moved in another direction, so that the difference in light will also change the colour. This suede doesn't show this effect as much. The primal form of suede, the true classical English suede, has no brush effect at all because of the short fibre, but it really does look a bit boring."
