Floris: “Dutch rockband Vals Licht is an icon from my youth. The band is from Hilvarenbeek, the village where I grew up. Starting with the first EP sometime in 1995 I followed their career through 3 albums, countless gigs and videos, many highlights as well as some heavy lows. To my amazement, they never really had their big break. Sometimes they got close, with glowing reviews in the media, a radio hit, and big shows at Lowlands or opening for bands like Stereophonics, de Dijk, Racoon and Tröckener Keks. After the drummer passed, Vals Licht seized to exist in 2004.
In 2017, I heard rumours that lead singer Tony and bass player Patrick were eager to revive Vals Licht. By then, I'd gotten to know the guys pretty well, so we sat down and wrote a master plan. Subsequently, our company supported them in making the comeback EP, producing 2 videos, and a lot of behind-the-scenes work that's so important to kickstart a band. Ergo, Vals Licht forever!"
