“Throughout my career, I’ve seen many prints on leather. They're often inspired by the animal world: crocodile prints, snake prints, reptile prints and even ray or elephant prints are the most normal thing in the world. For this summer collection, we were back on the road, scanning Italy for new prints. We encountered this print at a tanner in Santa Croca sull’Arno. I had never seen anything like it before and wondered what animal it was supposed to resemble. What do you think? A dragon print!! In an internet comment section you would say "Shut up and take my money!" But this was real life. So we just grinned and brought some pieces. Back in the Netherlands, we worked together with the tanner to make these super cool colour variations. By the way, back home I checked the dragons from Game of Thrones carefully, and it really fits! :)”
